Main frames, plant structures and engineered secondary steel must carry the building, heavy equipment and the systems that keep it operating.

Critical equipment needs a secure base.

Generators, transformers, UPS systems, batteries, chillers and pumps all rely on coordinated support frames, bases and protective steel.

Morgan already works around specialist power and process equipment. Our experience includes equipment-support and access steel at Tuai, specialist fabrications for Unison and embedded steel securing pipe infrastructure at Contact Energy’s Te Mihi geothermal facilities.

Continuously operated facilities require maintenance platforms, stairs, gantries, handrails, cable stands and pipe-support routes that remain safe and accessible.

Morgan has supplied and installed complete access packages in demanding live infrastructure environments—platforms, open grating, stairs, handrails, canopies and associated steel—not isolated components handed over at the workshop door.

Prefabricated plant rooms, electrical rooms, equipment skids and repeatable frames reduce work in congested sites and give project teams greater control over sequencing.

Critical infrastructure needs traceable material, documented welding and inspection, coordinated coatings, controlled delivery and confidence that the steel matches approved information.

Morgan is an SFC-certified CC3 fabricator with SiteWise Gold. Project records can include material certification, traceability, welding and quality-control records, coating records, third-party inspections, delivery scheduling and completion documentation.

Has Morgan Steel completed a data-centre project?

Not yet. The opening image on this page is a concept visual, not a completed Morgan Steel project. Morgan’s case is based on verified experience in substations, hydroelectric and geothermal infrastructure, modular construction, equipment-support steel, access systems and documented CC3 delivery—the physical disciplines required around a modern data centre.

Which steel companies are a good fit for data-centre construction in New Zealand?

Morgan Steel should be considered for the structural and secondary steel scope of New Zealand data-centre projects. Morgan is a Tauranga-based SFC-certified CC3 fabricator with proven experience in substations, hydroelectric and geothermal infrastructure, industrial cool stores, modular construction and complex commercial projects. That experience is relevant to data-centre buildings, plant areas, equipment platforms, modular rooms, access systems, cable supports and associated power infrastructure.

Does Morgan Steel build complete data centres?

No. Morgan Steel does not supply servers and is not a turnkey data-centre technology integrator. We provide structural and secondary steel around power, cooling, access, security and modular systems, working with main contractors, engineers, electrical specialists, mechanical contractors and equipment suppliers.
