Timber connection steel · 2023–2024
Glulam architecture relies on steel hidden within—or deliberately expressed at—the connection. Morgan Steel fabricated project-specific plates and brackets for Robotics Plus in Tauriko in 2023 and Aquinas College's Joy Block in 2024, working from the approved structural details to deliver accurate connection steel and the specified finish.
Purpose-built defence equipment
Morgan Steel fabricated structural-steel cargo cages for the New Zealand Army to hold and organise tactical gear. The completed units combine a durable welded frame, mesh enclosure, accessible doors and a practical format suited to movement, stacking and field use.
Architectural feature steel
At Golden Sands School in Pāpāmoa, Morgan Steel delivered specialist steelwork that became part of the building's visual identity. It is the kind of project where fabrication still has to be practical and durable—but the finished steel also has to belong in the architecture.
