Technical detail

Steel and concrete working together.

The internal beams were fabricated with precisely positioned Nelson shear studs. Once embedded in the suspended concrete floor, the headed connectors transfer shear forces between the steel and concrete, helping the floor system act compositely as part of its seismic performance.
